Currently 1 IMU = 1 US dollar
Selfport transactions are conducted in IMUs for the economy of the Selfport community.
Money on Selfport can be won, spent and earned in IMUs.
During our beta phase, IMUs work a lot like Linden Dollars on Second Life. That is, they can be used within Selfport, but not withdrawn, or directly converted in to other currencies.
Selfport accounts do have a withdraw feature. But during our beta phase, this feature is not open to the general public; and we cannot specify when or if this feature will be made available.
For now, you can either save your IMUs, or use them to pay for things on Selfport.
